Jake Raymond Strickland was born on December 26th, 1967 in Yokoso, Japan. He lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He Passed Unexpectedly in Sun City, Arizona while visiting extended family and friends.

Jake is preceded in death by his father, James Strickland. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cherie Strickland; daughter, Tiffany Taylor (Strickland); his mother, Trinidad Strickland; 7 brother's; 4 grandchildren, Jason Williams, Arriyah Taylor, Zariyah Taylor, Akira Reign Taylor; and son-in-law, Anthony Taylor his 2 step sons Ricky & Doug Flowers as well as their children with whom he treated as his own grand children.

Jake had a passion for music and driving cab, and telling jokes that would have you crying laughing. He was a cab driver for nearly 25 year has worked for countless cab companies he left a great impression on any and everyone who he met.  He loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends as much as he could. 

A special thanks to the friends and family who knew Jake best. Jake is at peace and passed away December 14th, 2017 with his wife by his side. If Jake could speak he'd say, "Don't frown, or cry but smile and laugh and celebrate my life and memories we had."
