Jacynda Beth Hodgdon, 46, passed on December 01, 2022. She was born to Patrick Strittmatter and Pamela Satterfield in Fort Worth, Texas on May 22, 1976. Jacynda moved around a bit and ended up settling in Rockwall, Texas, where she met her future husband in 1990. While growing up in Rockwall she was known by many as Jacynda Channell or J.C. for short.

She married Christopher Hodgdon on October 18, 1997, in Rockwall, Texas and then they moved to Kaufman, Texas in 1999. Together they raised 4 children Christopher, Ricky, Samuel, and Mary.

Jacynda graduated from Rockwall High School in 1994 and received a degree from the TVCC in 2012. She was proud of her accomplishment in graduating from TVCC due to the onset of various health issues. She never stopped trying her best to reach her goals.

In addition to her husband, those left to cherish their memories of Jacynda are son, Christopher Hodgdon (spouse – Victoria) of Ft. Hood, Texas; sons, Ricky and Samuel II, both of Kaufman; daughter, Mary Eggleston (spouse – John) of Terrell, Texas; her mother, Pamela Reyes (spouse - Alex); her dad, Rickey Channel (spouse – Renee); her brother, Walt Chanell (spouse - Stephanie) of Rockwall; her sister, Layla Allgood (spouse – Carl) of Mangum, Oklahoma; her sister, Kristina Burchard (spouse – Daniel) of Kemp, Texas; her sister, Mary Channell; her grandchildren, Brent Cobb and Fallon Hodgdon; several nieces and nephews also will cherish her memories.

Jacynda was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Strittmatter, and her sister, Alethea Strittmatter.
