Jacqueline N. "Jackie" AustinJacqueline N. "Jackie" Austin, 78, of West Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016. She was born on October 28, 1937 in Jonesville, VA to the late Curly and Cassie (Fields) Collins. Jackie was married to James Austin and he preceded her in death. She was a waitress for the VFW and Kooler Keg. Jackie was a member of the American Legion 492 Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, La Societe de Femene, and MOC Auxiliary IN2. She served as President of the VFW Auxilary. Jackie enjoyed playing Bingo and collecting angels. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Rowland of Indianapolis, Cathy (Gene) Fisher of West Lafayette and several brothers and sisters. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Shannon, Jamie, Mike, Johnnie, Shelia, Sarah, Buddy, Jeri, Troy, and Daniel and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Sexton, her daughter, Jackie Watson, and her granddaughter, Cassandra Watson. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21st from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with services following at 7 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel.
