JACOB A 'ANDY' YOUTZY, 83 WINSLOW - Jacob A. "Andy" Youtzy, 83, of Winslow passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford, IL. Jacob was born on May 14, 1929, in Monroe, Wisconsin; the son of George and Mary (Sherer) Youtzy. Jacob was a Winslow High School graduate, and he married Barbara A. Eells on October 8, 1948, in Elizabeth, IL; she preceded him in death on May 3, 2000. Together they farmed in the Winslow area for many years. He drove a milk truck for Schultz Trucking of McConnell, he sold feed, served as a private investigator and owned and operated the Shell Gas station in Winslow. For 35 years he drove school bus for the Lena-Winslow School District and was a realtor in Galena for many years. He attended Winslow United Methodist Church, was a past member of the Winslow Masonic Lodge and the Winslow Village Board member. He was an avid follower of the Lena-Winslow boys and girl's basketball, football and volleyball games. He enjoyed going each day to Cory's Pub and Grub to meet with friends and often went to Red Apple Restaurant in Monroe, Wisconsin. He is survived by four daughters, Betty (James) Wright of Royal, IL, Linda Orr of Lena, IL, Deb Gartner of Scales Mound, Il, Mary Lee (Kevin) Lingle of Monroe, WI; one son, Greg (Cindy) Youtzy of Kentwood, MI; 10 grandchildren, Lisa, Courtney, Derek, Chris, Melissa, Brooke, Autumn, Dawn, Nichole and Cory; 10 great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Michael, Maggie, Brett, Brandon, Brittney, Jake, Jesse, Tanner and Carissa; one stepsister, Barbara (Bill) Stamm of Washington. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Frederick and Richard Youtzy; stepbrother, Wendell Zipse; grandson, Daylon Gartner; sons-in- law, Lee Orr and Russell Gartner. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 15, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Winslow, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Winslow. Interment will be at Rock Lily Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his name.
