We are saddened to announce the passing of Jacob Patterson, who was born on May 17, 1933, and passed away on May 8, 2024, in Newport News, Virginia, United States.

Jacob, also known as Jake, was a devoted father to his three children, Sharron Manley, Sheryl Manley, and Dawn Patterson. He was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren.

Jake spent many years working in the military, eventually retiring in 1968. In his free time, he enjoyed hobbies such as golfing, bowling, and dancing, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

Unfortunately, Jake's life was cut short by stage three cancer. A tumor on his liver proved to be a formidable foe, but Jake faced it with bravery and grace.

Although we mourn the loss of Jacob Patterson, we take comfort in the memories of his lively spirit and infectious laughter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
