Jack R. Bowman Sr.Jack R. Bowman Sr., 88, of Springfield, MO passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2017. He was born on December 24, 1928 to George and Hazel (Armstrong) Bowman.Jack served in the Marines during World War II. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipe fitters local 178 and an active member of the Lions Club. Jack was an avid outdoorsman, which included hunting and fishing. He loved his family fiercely, never knew a stranger, and could accomplish anything he set his mind to.He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen of 62 years; parents; and two brothers.Survivors include two children, Jack Bowman Jr. (Janice), and Alicia Bowman; brother, Richard Bowman; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.A graveside service will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S.
