ARENA - Jack H. Batchelor, 77, passed away Sunday March 8, 2015 at Agrace Hospice Center, Fitchburg, WI. He was born on April 14, 1937 in Platteville to Harry and Elizabeth (Caldwell) Batchelor. He graduated from Boscobel High School and was a veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed as a Correctional Officer for the State of Wisconsin until his retirement. He was married to Evelyn Hambley and she preceded him in death in 2010. Jack loved to hunt, fish and camp with his family. He was a former member of Wisconsin River Sportsman Club, present member of the Spring Green Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his sons, John Batchelor of Arena, Richard Batchelor of Layton, UT, Daniel Batchelor of Arena, William (Julie) Batchelor of Burlington, grandchildren, Jared and Bryan of Burlington, a foster son, Ralph Hall of FL., brothers, James (Jeannine) Batchelor of Loyal, Gene Batchelor of Fennimore, Douglas Batchelor of Fennimore. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, and a foster son, Kevin Hall. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home, 104 Fremont St., Boscobel, WI with Pastor Jennifer Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be at the Boscobel Cemetery. Military graveside rites will conducted by the Blake-Semrad American Legion Post #134 and the Gilbertson-Pitzer VFW Post #10393 Friends may call one hour prior to service time at the Beeman-Patchak Funeral Home in Boscobel.
