Our Father in the heavens is the final authority on life and death. Jehovah speaks to us through his written word, where he states this concerning Ivory: the dead are asleep and conscious of nothing. Ecclesiastes 9:5. But that’s not all he says concerning Ivory. His son Jesus tells us her wonderful future. In the book of John he says that All those in memorial tombs and graves will come to life again here with us. Her future is guaranteed, she will be resurrected. Furthermore when she is resurrected, the world will no longer be filled with pain and death. Those will be former things. It will be a wonderful day to see Ivory again.

I am so sorry to hear of your family's great loss. She sounds like a wonderful woman who will truly be missed by all. I hope the Bible's promise at Revelation 21:3, 4 will give you comfort and hope for the future. Very soon we will no longer experience the heartbreak of losing our loved ones in death. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.

It is comforting to know that the God of all comfort will completely remove all grief at the time of the earthly resurrection. The Bible at John 5:28,29 comforts us with the words, “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” God promises that “he will do away with death forever, and God will wipe the tears from all faces. Isaiah 25:8
