Isaac Donald Holt, 85, of Chaplin, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.A native of Nelson County, he was born on Nov. 20, 1930, to the late Isaac Lincoln "Jake" and Myrtle Lee Milburn Holt.He was a member of the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy and a retired employee of the General Electric Company of Louisville having retired in 1991. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish.He was preceded in death by a son, Donnie D. Holt, on July 8, 2013.Survivors include his wife, Mattie Chesser Holt; a son, Jackie Holt (Kay); a daughter, Virta Thomas, all of Chaplin; a daughter-in-law, Francy Holt, of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, Missy Bobblett (Kevin), Ginger Moore (Max) and Jacquelyn Cornell (Darren) and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Hillard, John Tyler Steele, Hunter Bobblett and Diesel Moore.The funeral will be 1 p.m., Friday, July 29, at the Willisburg Church Of God Of Prophecy with the Rev. Keith Creech, the church pastor, officiating.Burial will be in High View Cemetery in Chaplin.Pallbearers will be Bruce Chesser, Darrell Dean, Keith Stone, Dennis Curtsinger, Rex Curtsinger and Glen Curtsinger.Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
