IRENE RUTH MERRITT n‚e Ness passed away on 11/20/2016. She was born on 11/27/1921 in Andover, MA to parents Helen Corthell of Weymouth, MA and Alexander Ness of Arbroath, Scotland. She is survived by her sister Marilyn Sarcione; brother John Ness; daughter Linda Lawrence; daughter-in-law Alison, and many nieces & nephews, including Ron, David & Andy Wennerberg, Evelyn Jones, and Richard, Keven, Jim & Danny Merritt. Her grandchildren are Shelly Spearing, Cherie Day, Christopher Lawrence, and Brittney & Kanann Merritt and her great-grandchildren Colter & Bridger Spearing, Lindsey Sims, Eloise & Teagan Day, and Addison & Grayson Lawrence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Richard Hartson Merritt, born 7/30/1922 in Reading, MA, and her son Robert Richard Merritt, born 9/15/1949 in Lawrence MA. Irene lived in Fullerton, CA and worked as a Lab Supervisor at Kimberly Clark from 1954-1983. Upon retiring, she moved to Riverside, CA. We will gather in Riverside on Tues, Dec. 6 to celebrate her life.
