Irene Allen LUBBOCK-Irene Allen, 90, of Lubbock passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on Feb. 26, 1926, to the late John Dentis and Edna May (Taylor) Lott in New Hope, NM. Mrs. Allen married Coy Allen on Aug. 21, 1946, in Clovis, NM. Mrs. Allen attended high school in Highway, NM. She was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed collecting quilts, antiques, and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Leccy Hutchinson, Wesley Lott, Oscar Lott, Grant Lott, Bernice Lott, Dee Lott, and Ethel Stewart. Those left to cherish Irene's memory are her sons: Duane Allen and wife, Sherry, and Ralph Allen and wife, Denise. She was also blessed with grandchildren: Joshua Allen and wife, Chanda, Megan Thompson and husband, Peter, Leigh Ann Allen, Justin Allen, Daniel Allen, Laura Hale and husband, Sean; great-granddaughter; Landry Allen; and great-grandson, Zachary Allen. She also leaves behind one brother, Homer Lott; and one sister, Minnie Estes. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at the funeral home.
