• It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ira Dee (ID) Collins, who was born on February 10, 1953, in Charleston , Mississippi, United States, to Robert "Buddy" Collins and Bettie Mae Meeks Collins. He departed this life on November 26,2025 at Shepherd Hospice Home in Southaven,Ms.

Ira leave to cherish his memories his beloved mother, Bettie Mae Bruce of Fountain Inn, South Carolina ; 6 children: Crystal Renee Golhston of Southaven, Mississippi; Ira Demond Collins of Jonesboro , Arkansas; Deon Jaquan Collins and Leon Shaquan Collins of Spring Field, Missouri and Jadorion Deundre Collins of Merdian, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his son, Fredrick Collins. He also leave to cherish his memory six brothers: Johnnie (Renee) Meeks of Water Valley, Mississippi; Charles (Sharon) Sawyer of Casper, Wyoming; Leon (Bobbie) Bruce of Lakeland, Florida; Perry Bruce of Torrington, Wyoming; ML (Donna) Bruce of Lakeland,Florida; Lewis Shelly Bruce, (deceased) and four sisters; Rosie Lee Meeks of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; Mamie (Sam) Gash of Grenada, Mississippi; Geneva (David) Jenkins of Fountain Inn, South Carolina and Dora (Shiloh) Pinkley of Lakeland, Florida and a host of aunts, uncles, 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, cousins , relatives and friends.

Throughout his life, Ira touched the lives of many and will be remembered for his kind and helpful spirit. Ira developed an interest in the Bible, learning that God can forgive him for past sins. This touched his heart and helped him to look forward to the promises of Jehovah God.

He enjoyed helping others especially working on cars. He loved going fishing and hunting and playing cards with his family, especially Spades.

Despite the sadness that comes with his passing, we find solace in knowing that Ira is now at peace. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
