We are gathered here today to bid farewell to Ida Russell, who passed away on July 8, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on July 6, 1933, to Walter R. McMillan and Bessie Mallory McMillan. Ida is survived by her loving husband, Robert C. Russell, whom she married in 1966.

Ida leaves behind her three children, Charles P. Woods, Stanley M. Woods, and Kimberly S. Russell Chatman, along with six grandchildren. Although we won't mention their names, we're sure they'll all remember their dear grandmother in their own special way.

Ida attended Quitman Colored School and graduated in 1951 before continuing her studies at Wiley University. She dedicated years of her life to working at Fidelity Investments before retiring in 1996.

Her hobbies included shopping, word search, and crossword puzzles, activities that brought her joy and relaxation in her free time. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, love of family, and dedication to her work.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Ida's memory. Rest in peace, Ida Russell, you will be missed.
