Icy Wesson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 3, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.
Icy was born on August 6, 2023, to Charles Johnson and Helen Mae Gipson in Los Angeles. She married Gibbs Wesson in 1973 and together they raised four children: Simon, Watashia, Javier, and Tamertia.
After graduating from San Pedro High School in 1965, Icy went on to work at California Retirement Home where she touched the lives of many residents with her kindness and compassion.
In her spare time, Icy was an active member of the Warren Chapel CME church, where she enjoyed serving as an usher and participating in the choir. She also had a knack for playing tennis and found joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
Icy will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family and community.
