MT. PLEASANT - Howard Frank Hanson, 93, passed away peacefully with all of his family present at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints on Wednesday, May 18, 2016. Howard was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on January 16, 1923, to the late Frank and Elsie (nee: Wuerker) Hanson. He was united in marriage to Iola Lindeman on July 20, 1957. Howard was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Caledonia. He was a graduate of Washington Park High School. Howard had been employed a Dumore Corporation for 47 years. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and collecting frogs. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Iola; sons, Mark (Karen) Hanson and Paul Hanson; grandchildren, Lisa (Robert) Pipp, Kristen Hanson, Ashlyn Hanson and Heather Hanson; nephews Frank and John Hammond and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Hammond. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon, followed immediately by a worship service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7900 Nicholson Rd., Caledonia, WI 53108. Luncheon will be held after the service in the Fellowship Hall. Private family interment will take place at Caledonia Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
