We are saddened to announce the passing of Horacio Tavares, a beloved member of the New Bedford community. Horacio, 48, passed away on December 10, 2024. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and warm smile that could light up any room. He touched the lives of many with his compassion and willingness to help others. Horacio will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Horacio is survived by his brothers, Nelson Tavares and Robert Tavares; His daughters, Tylyn Moniz and Karena Tavares; His sons, Ethan Tavares, Aaron Tavares and Brandon Tavares; He is also survived by his son-in-laws, Ben Baez and Kenneth Stone.

Horacio’s visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Perry Funeral Home from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. Cremation to follow.
