It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Holly Ann Files 44, of Sandwich, MA. Born on September 3, 1979, to Russell and Beverly Files, Holly was a loving mother, nonni, sister and friend.

Holly leaves behind her cherished children, Alessia Polcaro (spouse Brian Polcaro), Anthony Polcaro (spouse Brian Polcaro), Emma-Leigh Giroux (spouse Jason Giroux), Kristopher Malonson Jr, Kyleigh Malonson, Marrissa Malonson, and Dakota Nugent (spouse Daniel Nugent). She was also beloved by her unborn granddaughter. Holly was predeceased by her father Russ whom was waiting at heavens gates for her.

She attended Sandwich High School, graduating in 1997, before furthering her education at Dartmouth College, where she graduated in 2002. Holly was passionate about her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Social Worker, providing care and compassion to those in need.

Outside of her professional life, Holly enjoyed hobbies such as horseback riding, figure skating, and spending time at the beach. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went, leaving a lasting impact on those lucky enough to know her.

Tragically, Holly's life was cut short by an overdose on April 23, 2024. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

May she rest in peace. Holly’s struggles with depression and addiction are finally over and she’s at peace now. We ask that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

Visiting hours are to be private on Saturday May 4, 2024 followed by her funeral at Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich. Holly’s burial will be at Sandwich Town Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. There will be a private session at her burial as she will be honored and remembered by Sandwich police department for which her father served 25 years. There will be a family gathering to be announced at a later date.
