RACINE - Hildred M. Wanless (nee:Womack) passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2014. Hildred was born on December 1st, 1912 in Springfield, Illinois to the late John and Sarah Womack. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert H. Wanless, on December 1st, 1934. Hildred worked as a nurse for more than twenty years at St. Lukes Hospital in Racine. Hildred was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Racine for many years. She was also a member of T.E. Covenant Church in Bradenton, Florida. Hildred loved her family very much and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Hildred is survived by her daughter, Virginia Sue Rieckhoff; grandchildren, Colleen Platt, of Valley Springs, California; Scott Rieckhoff, of Portage, Wisconsin; and Linda (Don) Schauf; great-grandchildren, Sheila, Robert (KIA), Elizabeth (Luke), and Ethan. Hildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Robert Jr.; son-in-law, Merwyn Mike Rieckoff; great-grandson, Robert; her seven siblings; and her parents John and Sarah Womack. A private funeral service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials in memory of Hildred may be directed to Trailer Estates Covenant Church at 1903 69th Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34207.
