Herbert Jones, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on April 23, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born on February 13, 1936.

Herbert had a fulfilling life filled with adventure and service. He studied at Douglas High School before continuing his education at Cameron University. He went on to have a successful career in the U.S. Army, eventually rising to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.

Herbert was known for his sharp wit and infectious sense of humor. He had a love for storytelling and could always be counted on for a good laugh. He had a passion for gardening and spent many hours tending to his beloved plants.

Although Herbert had no children of his own, he was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews who adored him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Herbert's passing was the result of a brief illness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
