Helen T. Gallegos, 99 a longtime resident of Las Vegas passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, in Las Vegas.She was born on Sept. 28, 1916, to Jose Modesto Gallegos and Sophia Trujillo Gallegos in Tecolote.She was a loving and hardworking mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.A Catholic, she was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Sophia Gallegos; and granddaughter, Bonnie Armstrong.She is survived by her sons, Joe C. Gallegos and wife, Rose, of Las Vegas, Fernando Gallegos and wife, Vangie, of Albuquerque; daughter, Sandy G. Armstrong and husband, Ken, of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren, Joseph Gallegos and wife, Teresa, Lorinda Valdez and husband, David, Doris Gallegos, Yvonne Oliver and husband, Craig, Christie Sandritter and husband, Bryan, Teri Rosa and husband, Paul, John Gallegos, Brenda King, Elena Harper, Anthony Armstrong and wife, Leslie; 23 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and cousin, Eloisa Montoya of Albuquerque.Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday at Rogers Mortuary Chapel in Las Vegas. Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at Tecolote Cemetery in Tecolote with the following serving as casket bearers: Tori Gallegos, Jason Valdez, Doris Gallegos, Joseph Isaac Gallegos, Joseph Gallegos and John Gallegos.
