Helen Seay RhodenClarksville - Ms. Helen died on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Spring Meadows Healthcare.The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.Ms. Helen was born on January 23, 1924, daughter of the late George and Annie Nichols Pickering. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Mac Seay and second husband, Marvin Rhoden. She is survived by her son, Mike Seay and wife Jeanne; grandchildren, Chad Seay and wife Nicky, Laina Seay, and Michael Burgess; and great-grandchildren, Connor Seay, Kayleigh Seay, and Faith Burgess.She was an active member of Hilldale Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School for 24 years. She was the 6th generation of flat boat settlers of Clarksville, TN. She retired from a lifelong career in banking, where she became the first woman to be promoted to the Vice President position as Trust Officer with First National Bank. Ms. Helen served as President of the Clarksville Business and Professional Women's Club and Chairman of the Middle Tennessee Group of Bank Women. She graduated from the Tennessee Banker's Trust School of Vanderbilt University. She was Treasurer for the Chamber of Commerce and served on the Home Health and Hospice Advisory Board for the Clarksville Hospital System at Memorial and through the new construction project.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.The family requests expression of sympathy to be made to the Hilldale Church of Christ Fuel Program, 501 Highway 76, Clarksville, TN 37043.Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
