Helen M. PorterZANESVILLE: Helen M. Porter, 87 of Zanesville died at 3:55 AM Monday, November 28, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living, Zanesville.She was born on February 5, 1929 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Eugene C. Greiner and Lula Mae Bieber Greiner.Helen was a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was very active; having played Piano, then was the organist for 34 years and also taught Sunday school. She was employed as a secretary at Kincaid, Taylor & Geyer and then later she was employed by Common Pleas Judge, Ray Miller. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clarence H. "Bub" Porter whom she married September 5th, 1948; Two sons, Dave (Tonia) Porter and Jim (Darlene) Porter; 6 grandchildren; Kyle Porter, Kasey Porter, Todd Howard, Tyler Howard, Joshua Porter & Sarah Porter and 8 Great Grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Liz Snider; numerous nieces & nephews. Helen was preceded in death in addition to her parents by three sisters; Louise Greiner, Ruth Ross Frick & Dorothy Jenkins and two brothers, Eugene "Bud" Greiner & Wayne Greiner. Friends may call 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry Kudart officiating. Burial will conclude at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Sonora.Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
