Her mother was Dorothy Colbert who proceeded her in death, daughter Yvette Nelson, and her two grandchildren Joshua Phillips and Brian Nelson. She had 8 siblings, Bernice Howard, who proceeded her in death, James Williams (Lily Williams) who also proceeded her in death, Eugeine Phillips (Marvela Phillips), Dorthia Bucks, Dalphene Lamb (Maruice Lamb), Celia Williams (Willie Williams), Erika Goens (Kenneth Goens). Host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Helen was well loved by family and friends. She loved music. She really loved her family.
