Helen MingeKnoxville, TNHelen Ellenburg Minge, age 90, of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by James Howard Minge, her husband of 67 years. Helen was born on August 25, 1925 to the late Noah Alfred Ellenburg and LaDora Ottinger Ellenburg. She was raised in a large family on the Lone Hickory Farm on Middlebrook Pike. Her brothers and her only sister preceded her in death: Lloyd, Eldon, Harold, Maynard, Glenn (Happy), and Robert Ellenburg and Mavis Countiss. She was a member of Ball Camp Baptist Church and lived in the Ball Camp Community most of her life. Her husband's military service took them to several other states as well. She cultivated gardens of flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs into the last week of her life.She will be lovingly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Mohyi Abu-Zeid, Wanda Baucus, Joan Minge, Caroline and Tim Russu and Pam and Peter Murray; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Ruth Rineard, Anna Minge, Ray and Jane Minge, Velma and Ray Jenkins and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Sunday, November 15th, at Ball Camp Baptist Church 2412 Ball Camp Byington Rd. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 PM with Rev. Dr. David Tullock officiating. For interment family and friends will meet at 4:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery 229 S Gallaher View Rd SW, Knoxville, TN.
