RACINE - Helen Marie (Nee: Jacob) Haas, 102, passed away at Lake Shore Manor on Friday, May 29, 2015. Helen was born on December 17, 1912 daughter of Fredrick and Elizabeth (nee: Hudson) Jacob. On February 29, 1936 she was married to Henry R. Haas who preceded her in death on March 14, 2002. Helen graduated from Horlick High School in 1930. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved sewing for herself, her grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed 55 years of camping with her loving husband and close friends. She was a longtime volunteer for St. Luke's Hospital. Survivors include her beloved daughter Barb (Larry) Gedemer of Racine; her grandson Brian (Cynthia) Gedemer of Park Ridge IL, her granddaughter Julie (Jay) Kapellusch of Racine; her great-granddaughter Alexandera Kapellusch of Racine; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband in addition to four brothers, four sisters, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law. A Private Funeral Service and Interment will be held by the family. She will be buried at West Lawn Cemetery. In memorial, please perform a kind act in Helen’s memory.
