Helen MannAbilene, TXHelen Mann, 94 years of age, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, TX. Helen was born on April 23, 1923 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late Eleanor and Stanley Carroll. She was a military wife and lived in over 10 states as well as France and the Virgin Islands. Helen loved to travel. She was a wonderful mother to her son and two daughters. Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren affectionately referred to her as Nannie. She was a kind and gentle woman who loved her Coca-Cola and sweets. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Paul and C.L. Carroll; her sister, Geraldine Stoversand; her son, Carl "Bull" Mann; and her daughter, Judy Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Carole Ann Norton of Abilene; her daughter-in-law, Mary Mann of North Carolina; her son-in-law, Raymond Johnson of North Carolina; six grandchildren, William Norton of Louisiana, Stacy Hammack of Abilene, Carla Nolan of Utah, Raye Lynn Taylor, Tracy Mann and Aaron Mann of North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.A private service was held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 1:00PM in Buffalo Gap Cemetery.You may view and sign the guestbook at www.elliotthamilfuneralhomes.com.
