Mrs. Helen Gagnon, resident of Sister Leila Greco building, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 with family by her side. Helen was born on June 16, 1921 in Port Arthur where she grew up. She married David Gagnon and together they raised two daughters. Helen enjoyed spending time at camp, the "Silent Spot", at Whitefish Lake. She enjoyed gardening and was able to make anything grow, especially her beautiful flowers. In 1987, she was blessed with the birth of her pride and joy, grandson David. Helen faced significant challenges over the years and approached them with courage and dignity. Helen is survived by daughters Diane (Lon) of Vancouver, Marie (Kevin) of Sault Ste. Marie and much loved and cherished grandson, David, of Thunder Bay. She was predeceased by her husband David, twin sister Audrey, and brother Lloyd. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
