Helen Betty FlemingSeptember 24, 1925 – August 3, 2015On a beautiful sunny day, August 3, 2015, Helen Betty Fleming passed away peacefully at the Juneau Pioneer Home with her daughter Wanda and her special friends surrounding her with love. Her faith in the Lord made the transition very peaceful.Helen was born on September 24, 1925, in Trinidad, Colorado. Helen met the love of her life, Roy Raymond Fleming and after a very short engagement they were married on June 5, 1949, in Raton, NM. Her daughter Nancy and grandchildren came to Alaska many times and Mom thoroughly enjoyed having them here. Many nights they would play Skip-Bo or another game which was enjoyed by all. She loved watching Professional Bull Riding and got to know the names of the riders and the bulls. She even helped enter a name for a bull (Devil's Club), but it was not chosen. She would watch Mariners Baseball and record the scores so that she could tell Wanda when she got home from work.Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Roy Raymond Fleming (1980), her father George Marvin Semler (1974), and her mother Myrtle Ollie Semler (1997).
