Hector D. Escobar Hector D. Escobar passed away peacefully on January 26, 2017 surrounded by his wife and family. Hector was born on September 2, 1938 to the late Ernesto and Lucila Escobar. Devoted husband of Helen Castro, he was preceded in death by his sister Dr. Engracia Escobar-Borja, and is survived by his other siblings Valerio, Lucilita, Ephraim, Eva Llaguno, and Edwin. Hector will be greatly missed by all those blessed to have known him, whose only consolation now is that he is at peace. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 3rd at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 5 Elmwood Drive, Daly City, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to California Pacific Medical Center, 2015 Steiner Street, San Francisco, CA 94115.
