Hazel Irene SpangenbergFort GratiotHazel Irene Spangenberg, 91, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on May 4, 2017 in her home with her family by her side.She was born on April 12, 1926 in Port Huron, daughter of the late Harry and Allie Walker. Hazel married Richard Louis Spangenberg in 1975. He passed away in 2004. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and going on casino trips. Hazel also enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a loving mother and grandmother.Hazel is survived by her daughter, Marilyn LaGrange of Fort Gratiot; sons, Terence Adams and Gary Adams both of Smiths Creek; grandchildren: Lisa Johnson of Port Huron, Michael (Dawn) Carwile of Port Huron, Gary (Stephanie) Adams Jr. of Marysville, Andrea (William) Czenkus of Adair, Tyler (Josh) Adams of Smiths Creek and Taran Adams of Chesterfield; great-grandchildren: Gregory (Brittany) Alstrom of Port Huron, Robert (Gabrielle) Barrett of Grand Blanc, Tori, Andrew and Richard Carwile of Port Huron, Angel and Alexandrea Czenkus of Adair, Christina and Levi Adams of Marysville; great-great-grandson, Gregory III and several nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her sons, Charles, William and Dale; grandson, Richard McGuire; granddaughter, Angel Adams and several sisters, brothers and her parents.A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
