Hazel C. (Perrine) RiceJOHNSTOWN: A funeral service for Hazel C. (Perrine) Rice, 88, of Johnstown will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 and 10-11 am prior to the funeral service on Thursday at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.Ms. Rice passed away on June 9, 2017 at her residence. She was born on August 28, 1928 in Sutton, WV to the late Grover Cleveland and Nodie Ellen (Dean) Perrine.Hazel was a member of the Newark Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was an artist and loved playing music. She was a member of the Licking County Art Association and the Licking County Aging Program. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Karen "Candy" and Mike Pugh, Pamela Strominger and Vickey Rice; grandchildren, Tyson Stroup, Jill Strominger, Mitchell Rice, Tanner Stroup, Anthony Strominger, Nicholas Bartoe and James Rice; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband, Richard Rice; brothers, Jesse, Jennings, Jewell, Geoff and Arnold Perrine; and sister, Mary Lawrence.To sign an online guestbook please visit www.law-bakerfuneralhome.com.
