Hattie Lucas, beloved resident of Emporia City, Virginia, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 83.

Hattie was born on March 21, 1941, and lived a full and vibrant life. She was known for her infectious laughter, her love of gardening, and her famous apple pie that she would bake for every family gathering.

She is survived by her partner, Roosevelt Lucas, and their son. She was also a proud grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren who she adored and spoiled rotten.

Hattie will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering optimism, and her ability to make the best out of any situation. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
