Harry S. Krupa, age 82, a resident of Oscoda and formerly of Garden City, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010, at Lake­view Manor Nursing Home in Tawas City. He was born on April 7, 1928, in Detroit to Stanley and Sallie C. Krupa. Harry worked in a tool and die shop for Precision Spring Corporation for many years. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Harry was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda. He is survived by his sister, Elenore Schwebs; and several nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Irene Kuras, whom he married on June 19, 1951, in Detroit; his brother, Daniel Krupa; and both of his parents, Stanley and Sallie C. Krupa. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5300 N. US-23 in Oscoda. The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Oscoda chapel of the Buresh-Bennett Funeral Home, 212 River Rd., and at church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
