Services will be held Tuesday, May 16 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3600 75th Street in Urbandale, IA with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in George, Iowa.Harriett was born on June 16, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Marie (Hudgen) and John Kirby. She graduated from Morningside College with her Bachelor's degree in teaching and taught at the George Public School. She married Ivan Summa and Harriett became a fulltime homemaker raising the couple's five boys. She is survived by her sons, Mark (Stephanie) of Long Beach, CA, Mell (Barbara) of Waimanalo, HI, Monty (Debbie) of Pierre, SD, Scott (Becky) of Okoboji, IA, Dean (Julie) of Polk City, IA; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
