Harold D. ScottOctober 25, 1939 - February 18, 2016Harold D. Scott 76, of Nampa, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2016 at St. Alphonsus hospital in Boise with his family at his side. A Funeral to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. - 442-8171. Burial will follow at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery in Nampa. The family will greet loved ones and friends at the Nampa Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, Feb. 23, 2016 from 5 - 7 PM. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com.Harold was born on October 25th 1939 in Nampa. He was the youngest of five children born to Charles and Leatha Scott. He began his education at Notus and Midway grade schools, Adrian High School, and graduated from Nampa Sr. High School in 1959. Harold married his sweetheart Connie Miller on June 22nd, 1962 in Nampa. In 1963 he joined the Army National Guard Unit in Nampa where he served for several years. Following his honorable discharge from the National Guard, Harold and Connie started a dairy and continued milking cows for 30 years. He was active in the Mountain Empire Dairyman's Association and loved working with the youth as a 4-H leader and FFA Advisory council member. Outside of dairy farming, he also worked at various jobs in the community through the years. After retiring Harold and Connie were able to enjoy many wonderful travel adventures. A highlight of these travels was a family trip taken to Alaska. Harold's family meant everything to him. Harold is survived by his wife Connie of 53 years, two sons, Dale (Tawnya) Scott and Shaun Scott, of Nampa; a sister Ann Carson; a brother-in-law, Tom Miller; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Leatha Scott, 2 brothers Raymond D. of Nampa and Kenneth D. of Rock Springs, Wyo., and 1 sister Geraldine. A special thanks to the health care providers that have helped him through his troubled times, and everyone who has been there for him along the way.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the , 1111 S.
