She was born on June 29, 1921 in Brawley, Ca. to Ponicano and Rumalda Quijas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rafael Lopez. Lupe dedicated her life to her family and St Anthony church in Farmersville. Her faith was strong and she was very active in the church. She was selected St. Anthony's "Woman of Year" in 1978. She loved to embroidery and crochet. Preparing meals for the family gave her pleasure and joy, especially during the holidays. Lupe is preceded in death by her only son, Raymundo Lopez. She is survived by her four daughters; Antonio Lopez of Sacramento, CA, Mary Ellen Parnell and son-in-law Larry Parnell of Visalia, CA, Mercy Gamboa of Grover Beach, CA, Olivia Fonseca of Sacramento, CA. 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel and the rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Farmersville, CA. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Exeter, CA. Burial will follow the mass at Exeter Cemetery.
