Gregory “Greg” Lawrence Smith was born to the late Katherine Smith and James McNeil in Harlem New York on December 16, 1960. Gregory was a strong minded charismatic man who leaves behind as his legacy daughters Lashawna Brown, Keyonna Brown, and Nicole, sons Gregory Brown (Jr) and Damion, and grandchildren Jaysin Collins and Jayla Collins. He was preceded in death by his siblings Eloise Watson, sister, Lois Hewitt Lane, sister, Kathy Smith, sister, Raymond Campbell, brother, Clyde Smith, brother, and Karl Smith, brother. He also leaves behind nieces Ieasha, Tiesha, Simone, Myiesha, Ebony, Octavia, and Kadiesha and nephews Dyami, Wykiza, Raymond, and Anthony all of whom who he loved dearly. Gregory enjoyed music, cooking, traveling and meeting new people. He has resided in every borough in New York City and also lived in Arkansas for a few years. Gregory always told jokes and loved to take care of everyone and make them smile. Gregory perished at age 58 in Syracuse, New York where he resided with his daughter Lashawna on March 24th, 2019 at 1:10am. Gregory’s children, family and close friends knows him as a knowledgeable, jovial individual who left an imprint on everyone he encountered.
