On Monday, September 26, 2022 Gregory Dennis loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend passed, away at the age of 59. Gregory was born on July 11, 1963 in Chicago, IL to William and Maggie (Long) Dennis.

Gregory attended Bryn Mawr Elementary School, South Shore and Senn High Schools. He earned multiple Construction and Maintenance Trade Certifications from Atterbury Job Corps. Gregory was a proud Member of the SEIU Local Union 1 where he earned his Certification for Maintenance Engineer.

Gregory was a Master at his Craft and was a Mentor to many young men on the job sites. He earned the respect from his supervisors, colleagues and the residents he serviced at the properties where he worked as a Maintenance Tech.

Gregory's work ethic was "STELLAR.” He didn't like taking a lunch break and you could often find him working with a sandwich in his hand.

Gregory's first Love were his parents. Gregory was the number one Caregiver for them both. Gregory would always say proudly, "I never had children, therefore my parents are my children." He loved them with "ALL" of his heart. He was also an amazing brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Gregory loved his Family and was a proud supporter to everyone. He assisted his baby sister Creasie with raising her children Shannon, Eddie, Marcus Marq’ita and Marquel.

Gregory's other Loves were cooking, music and nice vehicles.

Gregory is survived by his parents William and Maggie, his sisters Cynthia and Creasie, brother David, aunt Onnie, cousins Kenneth, Ezzard (Nikki), Lanfrey and Perez, The Chatman Family, sister in love JoAnne and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Gregory was cremated and his ashes will be shared with his family and close friends. His sister Cynthia, “Big C” as he called her, will spread his ashes throughout her travels and excursions. He would really love that!
