We are incredibly saddened to announce the passing of Grace (Howard) Jones, who left this world on January 14, 2025, at the age of 64. Grace was born on June 6, 1960, in Jackson, Mississippi, to her loving parents Jake Howard and Artimese (Howard) Clerk.

Grace was a beloved wife to Melvin Jones, whom she married in 2013. Together, they raised five wonderful children: Shakita (Shalton) Richardson, Sherman Shalton, Shaun Shalton, Shannon Flippen, and Earl Flippen. She was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren.

After graduating from Velma Jackson High School in 1979, Grace went on to further her education at Cathleen College, graduating in 1986. She had a passion for learning and was always eager to pursue new opportunities for growth.

Grace will be remembered for her infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family. She had a zest for life and a knack for bringing joy to those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
