ODESSA, TEXAS - Gloy Faye Carstensen, 73, a longtime resident of Odessa, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village. She was born on July 5, 1943 in Tyler, Texas to Alva, and Ila Taylor. She was a retired caregiver. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Carstensen, son, Timothy Ray Carstensen, and sister, Carolyn Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Grant, and husband Brian Grant; brothers, Dale Taylor, and Vaughny Taylor; sister, Joan Thurber & grandchildren, Holli & Brandon Grant. A visitation with family & friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vaughny Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
