Gloria Conyers was born on June 24, 1950 in Wilmington, NC to Maggie and the late Johnnie Lee

Conyers. She departed this life on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at New York -Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in death by her eldest son Shawn Conyers, and sisters Rena Conyers and Estelle Conyers

Gloria was a 40+ year resident at 769 St. Marks

Avenue where she was everyone's favorite neighbor. Gloria babysat countless children in the building, and lovingly provided a bed and a hot meal to anyone in need.

In recent years, Gloria was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She preached about Jehovah God, his Kingdom and about the resurrection hope which she held on to until the end.
