Nonestied, Gladys M.Gladys M. Nonestied, 93, of Fond du Lac, passed away at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home on Thursday, May 11, 2017. She was born on August 22, 1923, in Kentucky the daughter of William & Mary Ellen Fields Stone. She served our country in the U.S. Army from 1943 until 1946 as an x-ray technician. She married George Nonstied on October 12, 1946 in New Jersey. Gladys loved reading, cooking and her family. Survivors include her son John (Margaret) and daughter Maria (Mike) Damm both of Fond du Lac, four grandchildren: Mary Jane (Jeremy) Lueck, Amy (Derek) Miller, Sarah (Mike) Balthazor and Graham (Amy) Callis, seven great grandchildren: Isabel, Avery, Oliver, Ceilia, Theodore, Brady and Bode, one brother Douglas Stone of OH and one sister Jean Reynolds of MI, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, five brothers and five sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 24th at 1:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac. Entombment will follow at Chapel of the Risen Christ at Calvary Cemetery with military rites provided by the Trier Puddy American Legion. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24th from 11:30 AM until time of services at the Funeral Home. Memorials appreciated to the Wounded Warrior.
