Gilbert N. Neu1930 - 2015Gilbert N. Neu, 85, of Pleasant Prairie, died Sunday, Oct. 18, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 11, 1930, in Kenosha, the son of the late Clarence and Catherine (Conklin) Neu.He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. Gilbert was united in marriage with Vernell Pearson on Dec. 9, 1953, in Kenosha.He worked as a die cast setup for Johnson Motors. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.Gilbert served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.Survivors include his wife of over 62 years, Vernell of Pleasant Prairie, a son Gregory (Anoinette) Neu of Pleasant Prairie, two brother-in-laws Clark Pearson and Gary (Jodi) Pearson three sister-in-laws, Elvera (John) Friar, Nancy (Albert) Kearns, and Gail (Bill) Gibson, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Jeff on May 8, 1999. Gil's family expresses their thanks to the nurses & staff of Hospice Alliance & Dr. David Knight.Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 3401-Springbrook Rd. with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset RidgeMemorial Park, with full military honors.
