We mourn the passing of Gilbert David Urdiales, who was born on May 29, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas, United States. He was the beloved son of Gilbert M Urdiales and Gloria A Urdiales.

Gilbert had a passion for learning and excelled academically. He attended Fort Knox High School from 1980-1983 and Hanau American High School from 1983-1984, where he graduated in 1984. He continued his education at the University of Maryland at Munich, graduating in 1990.

Throughout his life, Gilbert was dedicated to his work at VIA Metropolitan Transit and was a proud member of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 694 organization.

Although he did not have children of his own, Gilbert cherished family time and had a close-knit group of friends whom he enjoyed spending time with at the shooting range. He also had a great love for watching sports and cheering on his favorite teams.

On March 4, 2025, Gilbert David Urdiales passed away, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and loyalty. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
