February 16, 1945 - June 26, 2017 Gerry "Genny" Lynn Kerns, age 72, from Valley Glen, CA, passed away on Monday, June 26th, 2017 after a 9-month battle with cancer. She was born on February 16, 1945, the second of five children born to Gerry and Clarice Chickering. Genny was a pioneering animal trainer and one of the first female trainers in the entertainment industry with a career lasting over 50 years. Genny was a beloved wife - widow of stuntman Hubie Kerns Sr., mother to Steve Kerns and Lisa Paretsky and grandmother "GG" of Heather Kerns, Holli Kerns, Daniel Paretsky, Cameron Cleve and Gabriel Paretsky. A memorial service will be July 15th at 12:30 PM at the Church of the Hills in Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90068.
