Geraldine L. LeoDes MoinesGeraldine L. Leo, 83, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully at Taylor House on Friday, September 22, 2017. Geraldine was born on August 15, 1934 in Des Moines to Roy and Elsie Hartley.Geraldine was married to James "Jimmy" Leo for 50 years. She retired from AT&T after many years of service. Geraldine loved shopping with her sisters-in-law, gambling and going to Las Vegas with her husband. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Geraldine enjoyed volunteering at the Italian American Culture Center.Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children, Linda Kelley, Steve Watts, Jimmy John Leo, Jr. and Charlie Leo; grandchildren, Cory Watts, Brian Watts, Adam Kelley, Danielle Kelley, Kylee Leo, Jacob Leo, Anthony Leo and Mackenzie Leo; 9 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy; her parents; brother, Ralph Hartley; and her sister, Dorothy Ruggles.The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 with a presentation by the Italian American Women at 7 p.m. at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
