Geraldine (Geri) Anne (Harrington) Polak, 83, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born on November 17, 1932 in Springfield, MA.Geri attended and graduated from West Springfield High School in West Springfield, MA. As a military wife, she lived in Texas, California, Washington, D.C., and Virginia before moving to Yuma, Arizona in 1970. She worked for the City of Yuma, Arizona Western College and retired from AEA Federal Credit Union. Geri also attended Arizona Western College. She moved to the Phoenix metro area in 2013, to be closer to family.Geri loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, textile painting, old movies and bingo. She had a big heart, was always thinking of others, was generous and thoughtful.Geri is survived by her daughter Susan (Al) Polak Griggs; her son John S. (Lauren) Polak; two grandchildren, Adam and Dayna; her Great Aunt Georgie; several cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous family friends. She is preceded, in death, by her husband, Walter S. Polak; her parents, William Stanley and Ethel Harrington and her brother William S.
