Gardner, Jr., Gerald B.Gerald B. "Gary" Gardner, Jr., age 89, of Addison, NY passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Taylor Health Center, Bath, NY. Gary was born on October 24, 1927 in Rathbone, NY, the son of the late Gerald B., Sr. and the late Ethel (Manley) Gardner. He married Dorothy Troy in 1952, she predeceased him in 2014. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He was employed by Dairylea of Elmira as a mechanic and later a truck driver, retiring in 1992 with over 25 years of service.In his free time, Gary could be found spending time at his cottage on Seneca Lake. He enjoyed boating, watching NASCAR and was an avid Yankee's fan.He is survived by son, Gerald (Lynn) Gardner, III of Dundee, NY; daughter-in-law, Lauren Foland of Rochester, NY; grandchild, Thomas Gardner; and sister, Betty Tobey of Oklahoma.In addition to his parents and wife, Gary was predeceased by a son, John Gardner.Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Catherine's Church, Addison, NY. Burial with full military honors will immediately follow in the family plot in St. Catherine's Cemetery. Carpenter-Flint Funeral Home, 10 Wall St., Addison has been entrusted with the arrangements.
