George M. "Mike" Pontious, 62, of Vernon, died on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, in Centralia.Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Northside Christian Church in Vandalia, with the Rev. Curtis Sweeney officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Old Loogootee Cemetery in rural Loogootee. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the church, with Masonic rites at 6 p.m. Memorials: To help support George Michael Pontious Rabbit Rescue or donor's choice.
