Wiziarde, Genevieve, Mrs. 'Jenny' Apr. 27, 1927 - Sep. 2, 2015 Mrs. Jenny Wiziarde, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Mt. Prospect IL., died on Sep. 2, 2015. Genevieve 'Jenny' Martin Wiziarde passed away on September 2nd, 2015 in Sarasota FL. from complications related to dementia at the age of 88. Jenny was born on April 27, 1927 in Peoria IL to Franklin and Florence Stein. Jenny was a member of the 'Six Dancing Winston's' and a June Taylor dancer during the late 40's, dancing on stage throughout the US. Her passion for dancing stayed with her throughout her life. She was also a flight attendant for Western Airlines. Jenny was an active member of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago for many years and a member of the Mt. Prospect Country Club where she loved to play golf. She was an avid tennis player and snow skier. She was active in advancing women's rights and organized a campaign on the country club to allow women more options for playing golf. At various times Jenny owned her own tuxedo rental business, was the first female Allstate agent in Chicago and sold real estate in Barrington. Jenny was a loving wife and mother and had four children with first husband John P. Martin whom she married in 1950. They originally made their home in Louisville, KY. before moving to Mt. Prospect, IL. where they lived for many years. She moved to Sarasota, FL. in 1987 when she married Jack O. Wiziarde. Both husbands preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister Marietta Arendell (Benjamin) of Bradenton, Fl. and three children. Two daughters Patricia Martin (Robert) of Queen Creek, AZ. and Janet Martin (Jo) of Apache Junction, AZ. and her son Jeffrey Martin (Rochelle) of Key West, FL. One son, John P. Martin Jr. died in infancy. Family services will be held at a later date.
